Academic integrity cases are on the sharp increase at all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across the world, especially due to the invention of Generative Artificial Intelligence. This is a concern at all levels of the HEIs and is impacting all stakeholders of the HEIs in many ways. However, as one of the main players of the HEIs, academics can play a pivotal role in mitigating this problem. If academics can engage with the students, communicate their messages properly and decently use the available tools, Academic Integrity cases could be reduced to the lowest possible numbers. This is what I achieved in the case of the Transforming Business towards Net Zero subject at Flinders University in Sem 1, 2026. Previously, there were a decent number of cases in each semester, whereas the number of cases came down to zero in this semester.
